Dudley Anthony Gautreaux, known as Butch Gautreaux (born December 21, 1947), is a Democratic former member of the Louisiana State Senate from Morgan City, Louisiana. From 2000 to 2012, he represented Senate District 21. In 2012, the reconfigured district incorporated mostly Republican portions of Iberia, Lafourche, St. Mary, and Lafourche parishes.〔 Gautreaux won his last election to the Senate in 2007, when he defeated the Republican Clayton D. Diaz, 25,348 (71 percent) to 10,372 (29 percent). He served from 1967 to 1972 in the United States Navy. He is active in Rotary International, having been secretary of the Morgan City chapter.
